In this video, Mufti Menk speaks about oversharing personal matters with others. Do listen and share with your loved ones
How many of us, when we hear something very good, for example, a job offer, a marriage proposal, or a dream, get excited to tell everyone?
Moreover, when something bad happens, we broadcast it to the world, hoping for sympathy or support.
But we often forget these things:
- Some people may destroy our blessings out of envy or bad intentions.
- Whereas others might cause more harm, even unknowingly, just because you shared too much, which shouldn’t have been shared.
Not everyone deserves to know everything about your personal life.
Next time, when you think about sharing something, ask yourself:
Will this person genuinely advise me or help me, or am I just exposing myself unnecessarily?
When something good happens, keep it secret until it becomes visible.
