Hadith About Fever

Jabir b. Abdullah reported that Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) visited Umm Sa’ib or Umm Musayyib and said:

Umm Sa’ib or Umm Musayyib. why is it that you are shivering? She said:” It is fever and may it not be blessed by Allah, whereupon he (the Holy Prophet) said: Don’t curse fever for it expiates the sin of the children of Adam just as furnace removes the alloy of iron. – Sahih Muslim 2575

In another Hadith Sahih al-Bukhari 5647,

Narrated `Abdullah:

I visited the Prophet (ﷺ) during his ailments and he was suffering from a high fever. I said, “You have a high fever. Is it because you will have a double reward for it?” He said, “Yes, for no Muslim is afflicted with any harm but that Allah will remove his sins as the leaves of a tree fall down.”
