When a Muslim brother (or) sister asks which is the best Dua for parents for forgiveness, then Rabbighfirli Waliwalidayya is often the most recommended one. This Dua was recited by the Prophet Ibrahim (A.S). In the Holy Qur’an, Surah Ibrahim Verse #41, he asks Allah (SWT) for forgiveness for himself, his parents, and the believers.

Ever since we were born, they were parents who always took care of us, looked after us, fulfilled all our needs, looked after our education, and made us happy with everything they have got. It was their duty and responsibility to keep their family safe and happy. So now, it will be our responsibility and duty to make Dua for them.

Dua for dead parents forgiveness - Rabbighfirli Waliwalidayya

I have seen a lot of people asking about how they can help their deceased parents. How to pray for parents’ forgiveness when they pass away.

Well, the most powerful way that a Muslim can help his deceased parent is to make Dua for them. It hardly takes 15 seconds to recite Rabbanag-firli-Wali-Walidaya-Walil-Mumineena-Yauma-Ya-Kaumul-Hisab. Even if we recite it multiple times a day, it could hardly take 15 minutes. Honestly, taking 15 minutes every day to pray for deceased parents is nothing compared to the love and care they offered since childhood.

Apart from making Dua, the best ways to help a deceased parent is to give charity to the needy on their behalf, sacrifice an animal on their behalf, plant a tree on their behalf, contribute to building a mosque on their behalf, and dig a well on behalf on the dead parent.
