To gain success in life, turning towards Allah is important. Ask Allah (Azza Wa Jal) for help with sincerity, and surely, He will help you. Besides, there are certain ways and methods through which you can ask for help from Allah.
One such way is to make a dua. There are certain dua’s that are used for certain purposes. So, to gain success make dua to Allah and get what you want. Allah (Azza Wa Jal) himself says in the Quran to call upon Him, so do not hesitate as He is the Most Gracious and the Most Merciful.
As Allah (Azza Wa Jall) mentions in the Quran:
وَقَالَ رَبُّكُمُ ادْعُونِي أَسْتَجِبْ لَكُمْ
“And your Lord says: “Call on Me; I will answer your (Prayer)” Qur’an (40:60)

1. Dua For Success In Exams
Everyone wants to gain success in life. Especially when it comes to gaining success in exams. Therefore, make sure that you recite this dua at all costs if you are looking to gain success.
ربِّ زِدْنِي عِلْماً
The meaning of Rabbi Zidni Ilma is “My Lord, increase me in my knowledge” Qur’an [20:114]
This dua is for all those people who believe that they are absolutely ready to take on the exam and they are looking for Allah’s blessings to be bestowed upon them. Insha Allah, Allah (Azza Wa Jall) will help every student get the right results in their respective exams.
2. Dua For Success In This World & The HereAfter

رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَ فِي الآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَ قِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ
English transliteration: Rabbana atina fid dunya hasanatan wa fil Aakhirati hasanatan waqina ‘adhaban-nar
“Our Lord, give us in this world [that which is] good and in the Hereafter [that which is] good and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.” – Quran 2:201
According to the Hadith Al-Bukhari and Muslim, Rabbana Atina Fid Dunya Dua was the most often supplication recited by our Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam).
3. Dua For Success Over The Enemies/Rationalist
In every span of time there lies a huge clash between believers and rationalists. It’s a wide topic to debate on. Rationalists are more dangerous than people of any religion other than Islam. They confront religious peoples like animals and slaves of a typical theology.
The Prophet (PUBH) always sought Allah’s help from rationalists and pagans. The Prophet taught his asha’ab to always seek the shelter of Allah from these sinner people. The dua that you should recite to prevent yourself from the evilness of rationalists is:
وَمَا كَانَ قَوْلَهُمْ إِلَّآ أَن قَالُوا۟ رَبَّنَا ٱغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا وَإِسْرَافَنَا فِىٓ أَمْرِنَا وَثَبِّتْ أَقْدَامَنَا وَٱنصُرْنَا عَلَى ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ
English transliteration: Wa maa kaana qawlahum illaa an qaaloo Rabbanagh fir lanaa zunoobanaa wa israafanaa feee amrinaa wa sabbit aqdaamanaa wansurnaa ‘alal qawmil kaafireen
Quran 3:147: “And they said nothing but: Our Lord! Forgive us our sins and our transgressions (in keeping our duties to You), establish our feet firmly, and give us victory over the disbelieving folk.”
4. Dua For Knowledge And Memory
Knowledge is power. We all have heard the phrase. Many people don’t have the quick ability to learn and memorize things as they are called slow learners. For slow learners, a verse from the hadith is here. To gain immense success throughout the life span, it is important that you recite the following dua.
اللّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْتَودِعُكَ مَا قَرَأتُ وَمَا حَفِظْتُ وَمَا تَعَلَّمْتُ فَرْدُدْه لِي إِلَيَّ عِنْدَ حَاجَتِي إِلَيْهِ ، إِنَّكَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِير وَحَسْبُنَا اللهُ وَنِعْمَ الوَكِيل
English Transliteration: Allahumma inni astaudi’uka ma qara’tu wa ma hafiztu wa ma ta’allamtu, fardudhu li ilayya ‘inda haajati, innaka ‘ala kulli syai-in qadir, wa hasbunallahu wa ni’mal wakil
“O, Allah! I entrust You with what I have read and what I have memorized and I have studied. Bring it back to me when I am in need of it. Truly you have power over all things. Sufficient for us is Allah, and (He is) the best Disposer of affairs.”
5. Dua For Employment Success
When Yousuf (A.S) was sold to the caravan, he had no idea where he would end up. Even though he was sold as a slave when he arrived in Egypt, Allah provided him with the best employment years later, namely, king of Egypt.
وَكَذَٰلِكَ مَكَّنَّا لِيُوسُفَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ يَتَبَوَّأُ مِنْهَا حَيْثُ يَشَآءُ ۚ نُصِيبُ بِرَحْمَتِنَا مَن نَّشَآءُ ۖ وَلَا نُضِيعُ أَجْرَ ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
English transliteration: Wa kazaalika makkannaa li Yoosufa fil ardi yatabawwa’u minhaa haisu yashaaaa’; nuseebu birahmatinaa man nashaaa’u wa laa nudee’u ajral muhsineen
This is how We established Joseph in the land to settle wherever he pleased. We shower Our mercy on whomever We will, and We never discount the reward of the good-doers. Qur’an 12:56
6. Success in Business
To attain success in business, you need to make sure that you have the support of both Allah and your employees. You can make your employees happy and satisfied with a number of things. But if you do not turn towards Allah, you will not have his blessings, and in return, you might not be able to gain the success you want. Therefore, turn towards Allah before it is too late. One such way of doing this is to recite this Dua.
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمًا نَافِعًا وَرِزْقًا طَيِّبًا وَعَمَلاً مُتَقَبَّلاً
English transliteration: Allahumma inni as-aluka ‘ilman naafi’an, wa rizqan tayyiban, wa ‘amalan mutaqabbalan
“O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, good provision, and acceptable deeds.” – Sunan Ibn Majah 925
7. Dua For Success In New Projects
Whenever you start a new project, you need confidence and self-belief. Besides, you need to believe in Allah (Azza Wa Jall) that whatever happens in your life, it is for your betterment. Besides, it is also the Sunnah of our Prophet (PBUH), and as it is quoted:
Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) is said to have urged his companions to recite this Dua whenever they began a new duty.
حَسْبِىَ ٱللَّهُ لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۖ عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ ۖ وَهُوَ رَبُّ ٱلْعَرْشِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ
“Allah is sufficient for me. There is no god ˹worthy of worship˺ except Him. In Him, I put my trust. And He is the Lord of the Mighty Throne.”
8. Gain Success in Marriage
Everyone wants to marry the one they have loved, but it does not happen as you wish all the time. Besides, even if you do marry the one you love, you need to make sure that you raise a family with love. To achieve all those things, recite Surah Furqan’s verse.
رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَٰجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّـٰتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍۢ وَٱجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِينَ إِمَامًا
English transliteration: Rabbana hablana min azwajina wa zurriyatina qurrota ‘ayunina waj’alna lil muttaqina imama
“Our Lord, grant us from among our wives and offspring comfort to our eyes and make us a leader [i.e., example] for the righteous.” Qur’an 25:74
